SoC - Design
Systems-on-Chip (SoC) are a powerful teams of processors and FPGAs placed into one single chip case. Both chips - FPGA and Processor - are connected over internal high speed gigabit connections. So SoCs provides a maximum flexibility and performance combinded with very low system costs.
The Fautronix GmbH is specialist in Xilinx-Zynq™- as well as in Altera-SoCs and has successfully realized multiple projects using SoCs, from product idea during implementation and verification up to the market introduction and the after sales.
On SoCs we are mostly using an embedded Linux. For the communication between FPGA and processor we rely on our own solution consisting of Linux (platform) driver, AXI-Master and AXI-Lite-Slave modules.

Gigabit transceiver (PMA and PCS), SERDES, PCI/PCIe, PXI/PXIe, AXI-Lite-Slave (own Core), AXI-DMA-Master (own Core), DDR2/3-Memory, Softcore processors, SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, LIN, multiple own LVDS and DDR based interfaces.
