Graphical user interfaces (GUIs)

For PC and embedded software with graphical user interface, we focus on the very widespread Qt framework.

Qt enables cross-platform development of PC and embedded PC applications and is based on the programming language C + +. Unlike Java or. NET based programs to Qt programs embed almost seamlessly into the desktop environment you are using.

It was originally developed by Trolltech, which was acquired by the Nokia in 2008. Today Qt is released as open source under the LGPL license and is mainly developed and supported by Digia.

A programm developed using Qt can be compiled - mostly without changes - for the following platforms:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Linux (all UNIX based systems)
  • Embedded-Linux
  • Microsoft Windows CE
  • Apple Mac OS X

Coding differences between operating systems are required only when accessing operating system functions directly. We have in-depth Qt expertise, which have been acquired since 2005.
